Lace Shawl Repair
Finding my place
The first step was to find my place in the pattern. I determined that most of the stitches I had "captured" were on row 49. So I charted that row and a few preceding it. I checked for lost stitches in rows below and latched them up, then completed row 49 by knitting with another needle. Here is where I am.
I continued to chart each row, then knit it. I changed from wooden needles to aluminum to move the stitches more easily. I also knit continental style in order to not stretch the ladder thread more than necessary (my preference is to knit English). You don't see my right hand on the needle, because it is holding the camera!
