Rainbow Socks
HeartStrings knitting pattern #S16
The concept for these colorful tie-dyed looking socks came from a friend who is an avid Arlo Guthrie fan. The socks are easily fitted and comfortable wearing because of the simple ribbed stitch pattern that I designed for a good amount of elasticity. The slipped stitches also add a bit of design interest while nicely breaking up the variegated yarn colors.
Adult Small[Medium,Large,Extra Large]. 185[215,250,285] yards worsted weight yarn. 5 ½ stitches/inch, size US 4 / 3.5 mm. The socks pictured were knitted in size Large using Lorna's Laces Butterflies & Bullfrogs 85% wool/15% mohair (100g/190 yds), 2 skeins Rainbow #601. Written stitch instructions.
