Make swatching pattern stitches fun by looking for discoveries on the "wrong side".

Some people like to swatch, but many don’t. If you are one of the ones that don't, here is an inducement that can make your swatching time more rewarding.

The photos in knitting stitch dictionaries usually present one side only of what is considered the "correct" or "public" side of pattern stitches. But there are two sides to the story in knitted fabric. And both can be good!

So next time you are making pattern stitch swatches, be sure to turn them over for new insights and pleasures into future design possibilities.
