Class Description

Knitted pleasure and pampered beauty for your feet

Is there a mystique about lace socks that brings romantic summer evenings to your mind? Can you just imagine a pair of lacy socks adorning your feet, but have been hesitant about striking out on your own? Come along with the class and we will explore the pleasure of making our own lace socks! For the class project, we will be knitting handsome lace socks that look more complicated than they really are. Great for introductory lace knitters, as well as those wanting to advance their understanding of what knitted lace is all about.

• Prerequisites: Experience knitting a plain basic sock. No experience in knitting lace needed.
• Students supply their own yarn and needles for starting a pair of socks.
• Additional student materials fee: $5 per student (includes sock pattern and supplemental instructions for making several style variations).
• Duration: 3 - 6 hours. The longer version of class includes ideas for designing your own lace socks as well as allowing you more time to work on your socks.
