Knitted by Bonny in Koigu. Bonny says ... Some time ago I promised to send you a photo of the socks I was making for my Friend in Germany. They are the Summer Solstice from the Calendar. Again, these were done with Koigu handpainted yarn. I wanted to use a yarn not available in Germany, and Koigu feels lovely on the foot! This time the colour is P500, a nice fall blend of browns, rusts and greens. The colours remind me of my walks in the woods with my Mom in Northern Germany when I was little. The sock was photographed yesterday at Island View Beach on the Saanich Peninsula near Victoria, BC. In the distance, if you look hard, you can see a faint Mt. Baker across the U.S./Canada border.
